![]() ![]() Finally, he comes back in with this smarmy looking guy who sat down and said "how can I help ladies?" using a condescending tone. Again, we could hear yelling through the door. He comes back, again using that condescending tone, “I will call on speakerphone so you can hear.” He didn’t even get that far again and things escalated again, he grabbed the paperwork and stormed out a second time. We were both like what is going on here? Bewildered. We could hear him yelling to his co-workers through the door. He got angry!!! Grabbed all the paperwork and stormed out of the office. He says “Did you figure out the discrepancy with the down payment?” Us? Figure it out? What? In the voice generally reserved for small children or I guess women in his case, he was like let me explain the payoff to you in the tone like what nerve we have questioning the 300 dollar difference. Once in Dan’s office immediately I felt tension in the air. Nobody back there so why did this take so xxxx long? It’s all a big game. After MORE waiting, we were finally escorted in to see Dan Schmidt. He told us he didn’t know to talk to the finance dude. After 2 HOURS of seeing Mike hanging outside to vape with the other 10 sales reps (literally we were the only customers there the guys who were not outside were watching videos on their computers or chatting) Mike comes back and says it would be close to $4800 down. We thought we were on our way to getting this done! Mike kept saying a five more minutes for the finance guy. Finally, he came back and said “good news” had a form filled out that said she would owe $4500 down with the $199 payment which she signed. Mike went back and forth from his desk to the back, we are all familiar with this silliness. Yes, she would eat some money but that’s how it is when you trade in the first year. We decided to go to lunch to think it over. This took over an hour to get to this point. You practically needed a pull-cord to start the engine it was so basic. Not only that, this was obviously the cheapest car on the lot. Somehow a $149.00 leasing payment and $999 down blew up to $199 a month and $5,000 down. We asked about the leasing specials on their site. She said no that dings your score each time they check and last year they did like 10 hard checks. First red flag, barely sat down the salesman, Mike Houston, wanted to run her credit with a hard check!! Who does that? We were there less than a year ago and this girl has extremely good credit. My daughter was trading in the car she had purchased for something a little less pricey. My daughter and I both bought cars there last August. As a returning customer to Brilliance Honda I was expecting a better than average experience. BUYER BEWARE!! We can all agree that the car buying process here in the US is stressful, frustrating, and long. ![]()
